What Men Want

OK, guys, this is for you.

I’m going out on a limb here to hazard a guess that at some time in your life, you’ve been put down or brushed off or given the silent treatment by a woman. And you had no idea what you said, did, didn’t say, or didn’t do that failed to get you what you wanted.

So, here’s your very own space to have your say. Maybe even get in the last word. Finally. Maybe.

Just send me a brief explanation of what you want from women, or from that special woman. Humorous or serious. No explicit sexual references, please. At my discretion I will select the responses to appear on this page. Responders will be identified only with first names or initials.

Have at it and let ‘er rip.

  1. I think under it all, men and women want the same thing: a meaningful relationship with mutual respect, enjoyable companionship and, oh yes, sex. In the long term this means someone who can be a friend, confidant and lover. No one likes being ignored, put down or left in a quandary about what’s going on. The biggest thing I’d want is to be told what didn’t sit well rather than having to play, “If you really loved me you would know what you did wrong.” — MB

  2. Beef and bourbon. Huevos and Bloody Marys. – RG
